Katie Hopkins in South Africa: Farm security comes at a high price

This farm, situated in the Eastern part of South Africa, more closely resembles a super-max prison. Yet that is the cost required to keep these farms, and the people who tend the land, safe.

Farmers have spent millions of dollars cordoning off their land with vast stretches of razor-wire fencing.

The irony is that they’re not growing any illicit substances here, but macadamias, bananas and other produce.

This is level of security South Africa’s farmers need to deliver food security to an entire nation.
